According to a
survey: nearly half of do-it-yourselfers report doing more auto repair work on
their own this year than last year, and two-thirds say they are more likely to
attempt a difficult job, survey of nearly 3,000 consumers. The findings show
that DIY auto repairers are chiefly driven by cost-savings, but also by the
enjoyment of the actual work, according to the online auto parts and
accessories retailer.
The percentage of
those who say they do it themselves to save money trended down slightly, while
those who say they do it themselves because they enjoy working on cars
increased. There was a major increase in those reporting that even though their
financial situation has improved, they still will DIY over going to the repair
shop.

drivers would like to repair tire all by themselves, proper steps to repair a
tire should be widely cleared to them, here are some professional steps for
those who DIY tire repair.
1. Loosen lug nuts
with a tire wrench with the car on the ground. And lift up the car with a jack
at the jacking point. Remove the lug nuts and pull the wheel off the hub.
3. Carefully examine
the tire for foreign objects like rocks or nails. Pull out any object with a
pair of pliers and mark the spot with chalk or markers.
4. Remember to locate
the rasp tool contained in the tire plug kit and insert it into and out of the
hole quickly. This tool will clean and roughen the area so the fix will stick.
5. Fill the plug
and with cement from the kit. Use the insertion tool to place the plug into the
hole. Allow the adhesive to dry for at least a minute.
6. Check the tire
is at the correct air pressure and then applies some soap mixture onto the
plugged hole to check the seal to make sure it is holding. Put the tire back on
the hub and tighten the lug nuts using a star pattern.
